What’s In My Bag

Gone are the days where throwing a tube of lipstick, a credit card, and my keys in to my little purse would suffice.  I’m now officially in Small Suitcase territory.  Luckily I have an arsenal of handbags that can handle my life.  If “you are what you eat”, then I suppose what you have in your purse has just as much to say about you!  Today I’m sharing its contents.

IN THE BAG.

* iPhone with Mophie Case:  I love have a battery charged case in my bag in the event that I unexpectedly run out of battery.  I’m paranoid about our Nanny not being able to reach me while I’m at work!

* Honest Company Hand Sanitizer Spray:  I love this stuff.  It has a nice smell, is all-natural, and doesn’t dry out my hands.

* Tory Burch Wallet:  I always have a Tory Burch wallet.  They’re so well made and come in the most chic designs.

*Honest Company Travel Size Wipes:  I love these wipes and I use them myself for everything from wiping hands after pumping gas to treating coffee spills on my clothes.

* Boiron Camilia Drops:  These are a teething lifesaver! All natural and homeopathic, and easy to stash in your purse or the diaper bag.

* Kind Bars These are my go-to snack when I’m on the move.  I love all the flavors!

* Swell Water Bottle:  I’m obsessed with these, I’ll admit it.  If we’re friends you have definitely gotten one of these as a gift from me.  They keep your drinks cold for 24 hours, people!

* Stuffed Unicorn:  Lowie adores stuffed animals.  This one is tiny so I can stash it in my purse to pull out if she is getting bored or wants a cuddle.

* Children’s Book Lowie really likes when we read together, so I keep a book in my purse at all times to entertain her if needed!

* Jack Black Lip Balm with SPF:  I love that this balm is all-natural with SPF to protect against the sun.  Added plus is that it’s peppermint scented to help freshen breath!

DoTerra Citrus Bliss Essential Oil Blend:  I use so many of DoTerra’s oil blends, but I especially love to bring this one on the road with me.  It’s energizing and grounding, enabling me to get back on my feet if I am having a stressful or exhausting day.  I just put 2-3 drops between my palms, rub together, and inhale deeply several times.  Sometimes I even put a couple drops on the inside of my wrists!

* Shiseido Blotting Papers:  Never a bad idea to have a packet of blotting papers in your makeup bag!

* Papermate Pen:  These are my favorite pens.  The ink is smooth and I love the pointed tip.  I’m crazy about having my own pen when I have to write checks or fill out paperwork.

* DoTerra Peppermint Beadlets:  These are genius.  They take the place of a mint or gum (I haven’t bought gum in YEARS), and they don’t have any of the harsh chemicals and yucky stuff that are in typical breath fresheners.  DoTerra’s essential oils are food grade! All you do is pop one of these beadlets between your teeth and your breath will be fresh for hours!

* Baggu Leather Zippered Pouch:  I really like how simple but elegant these pouches are.  I have them in black and robin’s egg blue, and I use them for EVERYTHING.  I love having one in my purse to put all the smaller items and makeup away.

Chantecaille Lipgloss:  This is a constant in my makeup bag, though it is usually joined in the makeup bag by whatever lipstick I’m obsessed with that day!

* Arm & Hammer Essentials Deodorant:  I’ve been using aluminum-free deodorant for over a decade now.  It’s so important to me to use as natural a deodorant as possible, and so far this is the best one I’ve found.  Like with any natural deodorant (and non antiperspirant) however, you have to reapply a few times a day.  I keep one in my purse to stay fresh all day long!

Wow We have a lot of the same items in our demi-suitcase purses. I’m gonna have to include the peppermint beadlets to mine. I just have to add that I have a refillable wipey pouch, great for the environment. Which happened to be a gift otherwise I would of never thought of it. As an environmentally conscious mommy I also have biodegradable bags in a compact case that I use for everything from disposing of diapers (especially when there is no trashcan in site) to totting my kids dirty/wet garments.

      Hi Yahaira,
I have a refillable wipey case, too! The best. I love the idea of keeping biodegradable baggies as well, I need to add that to my arsenal!

  3. What fun to peek into your bag! I use a natural deodorant made by a family-run company in Toronto. It’s called purelygreat. It’s a bit awkward to put on – it’s like a baking soda blend that you could probably make yourself – but they have a nice naturally scented version and I find it’s the first natural deodorant I’ve tried that works all day!
